This time of year the phrase “picking a target” takes on a whole new meaning around our house. No, I’m not abandoning the weather realm. In fact, I was out trying to shoot lightning last night in the yard. With fall approaching our thoughts start to turn to hunting however.
Sage decided he wanted to get some target practice in tonight, but our forecast discussion had little to do with the WX as much as dove, antelope, deer and pheasant seasons

About tornadotimmy
My name is Tim Stoecklein. I am a Kansas-born kid who grew up on a farm outside a small town. My profession is recreation and education, working in a University environment. My hobbies seem to focus on recreation as well as the great outdoors.....the study of weather, chasing weather, whitewater kayaking, hunting, photography, and mountain biking. My interest in weather started at a young age, but I actively started studying meteorology as a hobby about 10 years ago....soon I was chasing and photographing storms in my "backyard". The focus of this site is to share my experiences as I seek out what it is about the weather which fascinates me, and I hope you enjoy the content I share!
