There’s no doubt we’ve had pretty dry times recently here in CO, and the southern areas are suffering the worst. Yesterday gave us a pretty significant break from the dry pattern.
Colorado Springs set a new record for daily rainfall total with 4.50″ measured officially at the airport! We ended the event with 3.20″ here at the house within a 10 hour period. It was certainly a welcome soaking!

About tornadotimmy
My name is Tim Stoecklein. I am a Kansas-born kid who grew up on a farm outside a small town. My profession is recreation and education, working in a University environment. My hobbies seem to focus on recreation as well as the great outdoors.....the study of weather, chasing weather, whitewater kayaking, hunting, photography, and mountain biking. My interest in weather started at a young age, but I actively started studying meteorology as a hobby about 10 years ago....soon I was chasing and photographing storms in my "backyard". The focus of this site is to share my experiences as I seek out what it is about the weather which fascinates me, and I hope you enjoy the content I share!
