My name is Tim Stoecklein. I am a Kansas-born kid who grew up on a farm outside a small town. I have a wonderful wife and two great little boys who take up most of my time. My profession is recreation and education, working in a University environment. My hobbies seem to focus on recreation as well as the great outdoors…..the study of weather, chasing weather, whitewater kayaking, hunting, photography, and mountain biking.
My interest in weather started at a young age, but I actively started studying meteorology as a hobby about 10 years ago….soon I was chasing and photographing storms in my “backyard”. The focus of this site is to share my experiences as I seek out what it is about the weather which fascinates me, and I hope you enjoy the content I share! Outside of the severe wx season, I will likely share stories and photos from my other outdoor pursuits. I hope you enjoy these as well!
